ok mama has a weakness in daily fluid intake even by normal standards. "What to Expect when you are Expecting (pg 92)" though says this:
(when pregnant) You're not only eating for two, but you're drinking for two. If you've always been one of those people who go through the day with barely a sip of anything (erm... like mama!), now's the time to change (and you can almost imagine the authors wagging a finger here... ok I hear you)... Extra fluids also help keep your skin soft, lessen the likelihood of constipation, rid your body of toxins and waste products, and reduce excessive swelling and the risk of urinary tract infection (ouch!). Be sure to get AT LEAST 8 CUPS (2 quarts... what's that??) A DAY... Not all your fluids have to come from the tap (American language for plain water duh). You can count on milk (2/3 water), fruit and vegetable juices, soups, caffeine- and sugar-free soft drinks (limit this though!), decaffeinated coffee or tea (hot or iced), and bottled plain and sparkling waters. Do NOT overdo on high-calorie fluids (e.g. juices), however, or you may end up gaining too much weight. Also try NOT to drink before eating because this may make you too full to consume nutritious solids.
ok la... mama has been practising to increase fluid intakes, I think I reach 3 cups now. Ganbatte!! :)
Yes. Gambatte! 70% of our body is water. So, drink more. There's a book "Water Know The Answers the Hidden Messages in Water Crystals" written by Jiang Ben Sheng(Japanese Author), you'll be amazing on his research on water.
